SBLM designed a new substance abuse treatment facility for Smithtown, New York. The adaptive reuse of the 7,250 square foot retail building combined the previously separate program facilities into one of consolidated space. The modern enviornment conveys respect and dignity to its clients and supports therapists in their mission to aid patients. SBLM used a warm palette of color and an array of universal materials to create a home-like enviornment that is both welcoming ad uplifting. The contemporary center features therapy rooms, counseling rooms, convenient administrative area, and a multi-purpose room for use by the general community.
